Part 1 Part 2 of 2
Many Christians have forgotten the Great Victory.
Have you? C'mon you saints, who's in charge of this kit?
They talk about Satan being 'after them', or 'all over them', destroying their homes, lives, families, and happiness.
They speak as though they are afraid of their enemy; as if he has power over them, and worry about getting some disease or sickness, cringing in religious superstition and fear.
Wait!
You, Christian, have been delivered out of Satan's power, he has not one whit of power over you. If he has, then the LORD Jesus Christ failed in His mission, and God's Word lies when it declares:
He (God) has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves (The LORD Jesus Christ) in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins. Col. 1:13 Holy Bible, NIV
That's terrific, Tyndale's translation is better still, savour this, English lovers:
Which (God) hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son, in whom we have redemption through his blood, that is to say forgiveness of sins, which (The LORD Jesus Christ) is the image of the invisible God, first begotten of all creatures.
Satan lost all power over you the instant Christ saved you. He has no dominion in the kingdom of God.
He has no power to condemn you, none to accuse you, none to harm you, because Christ defeated him once and for all at Calvary.
Having disarmed the powers and authorities, he (Christ) made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Col. 2:15 NIV
Christ did not need to defeat Satan for Himself, he crushed him for you. Christ's victory is your victory over Satan.
Satan is eternally defeated. You defeated him in Christ. Praise Him you saints!
Better still, Jesus has given you authority over Satan, and all his demons.
I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions (demons and evil spirits) and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Lk. 10:19 NIV
The KJV renders that final clause as,
...nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Satan is bound by the Word of God. Bound to submit to any believer in The LORD Jesus Christ.
Now, humbly accept God's Word, instead of denying it by saying that the Devil has power over you. He has none! Except that which you cede to him by doubting, and therefore denying, what God says. Be a believer, not a doubter!
Then you will walk in divine strength on Earth, and put your defeated enemy to flight whenever you draw near.
If he dares to show himself, use the Word, and the power God has given you to demonstrate Christ's Victory.
The Tempter tries to seduce you from the Truth with a doubt, an 'if', or a 'but', dismiss him with the Truth.
Quiet Satan! It is written that I have overcome you by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the word of my testimony. (Rev. 12:11). Christ has put you under my feet, take your lies to burn with you in the Lake of Fire. The Lord rebuke you!
Your enemy will flee from you because you are humble before God, and strong in Him.
