Why Do Christians get Baptised in Water?

Christian water baptism symbolises the start of our new life in Christ Jesus, the Born Again Baptism. It is done for two reasons; 1) Simple obedience to Christ's command for new believers to be baptised. 2) As an outward public testimony of what has already occurred in our hearts.
