Why I Believe in Jesus

I had been saved for three years, and a full time missionary for nearly two years, before I witnessed Christ's miracle power first-hand.

Jesus said, The miracles I do in my Father's name speak for me. Holy Bible Jn. 10:25 NIV

Why do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, 'I am God's Son' Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father. Jn. 10:36-38

Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. Jn. 14:11-12

You can see that miracles are important, can't you? And this got me thinking.

Although people were being saved in my ministry, I noticed there was something missing from it compared to what I read in the Bible.

"Lord show me miracles!" I prayed. "Show me how to get people to believe in you for miracles."

And soon enough, Jesus did just that. In one three day period of Gospel preaching I witnessed over twenty five instant miracles of Christ.

The simple Gospel was proclaimed, people believed on Jesus, blind eyes were opened, the lame healed, the deaf heard, the mute spoke, cancer was cured.

It's beautiful to witness the Living God in action. Miracles are important. They are proof Jesus is alive, and that He is God.

But, I do not believe in Christ because of His miracles; I believe in Him because of His Word. It is enough.

When I hear, or read, Christ's message, the Holy Spirit confirms it to my heart as true. And every time I have responded by trusting Christ's Word from my heart, and acted on that trust, without fail, His Word has proved trustworthy.

Today people are crying out to know the truth.

Jesus said;

I am the way, and The Truth, and the life. Jn. 14:6a

I have discovered that the LORD Jesus Christ is the Truth, the Absolute Truth.

There is no fault in Him, or in His Word.

You can depend upon the integrity of the LORD Jesus Christ, His message, and His Word with total confidence.

Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame. Ro. 10:11

Doubters and ditherers get nothing from God.

Those who doubt... should not think that they will receive anything from the Lord; They are double-minded... unstable in all they do. Jas. 1:6-8

Only after you have proven that your faith in Christ's Word is real, by acting on His Word, will you receive the confident assurance of its perfect truth.

Sceptics and cynics, like every sinner, must come to a point when they decide to trust in Christ wholeheartedly, despite any questions they may harbour. Once they have done so, they receive enough evidence in the very centre of their being to remove all lingering doubts.

I know because it happened to me. It happens to every person who is Born of God.

Why is it this way?

The reason is simple. Please understand this. The whole relationship God wants with us is based on trust. Not laws, not rules, but confident loving trust.

God gave us the Ten Commandments to show us that no sinner could keep them. That we are all born sinful, and all need to be saved.

No-one will ever be declared righteous in his sight by observing the Law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin. Ro. 3:20

The Law was put in charge to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Gal. 3:24

There is only One Person who has ever kept God's Law: The Lord Jesus Christ.

You must trust in Him to be saved from your sins.

Christ came to save you and me. He is Almighty God in the Flesh, and wants us to learn that He, Jesus is trustworthy. Nobody can ever learn this unless they trust in Him first.

Once you have discovered Jesus is Faithful and True, you'll grow in faith, and trust for God and walk in the loving rapport He created you for.

Adam and Eve fell into doubt, then sin. Doubt is the seed of sin. Faith in Christ, the Word of God is the seed of righteousness. God's Word is God's Seed.

You will be happy and at peace only as you rely on Christ.

I have trusted in Christ as my Lord and Saviour. Since that moment (January 16th, 1988) I have known with total confidence and assurance that Jesus is Almighty God, sinless, Faithful and True.

But better even than that...

He is alive in me!

Why do I believe in miracles?

Simple. I've seen many wonderful miracles first-hand.

Jesus Christ is continuing His ministry today, just as in Bible days. Proclaiming Good News, healing the sick, destroying Satan's work and confirming His Word with signs, wonders, and miracles. In every nation today wherever believers believe, believers receive. Nothing is impossible with God. Just Believe!

If there are no miracles in your Fellowship, you're with the wrong crowd. There's something seriously wrong there. Fellowship with believers, not doubters. Go where there's life and Christ's resurrection power, not a mortuary full of dead bodies.

Do you need a miracle from God?

If you have sinned, Christ paid for your sins.
If you are guilty, Christ was punished bearing your guilt.
If you are sick or infirm, Christ took your sicknesses and carried your infirmities on Himself.
If you are lost, Christ came to seek and to save the lost.
If you are hurting, Christ suffered your pains.
If you are lonely, Jesus died to be your Friend.
Your debt to God is paid, your sin atoned for, your sickness defeated.

Believe in Jesus, and receive Him into your heart right now. And He will confirm His Word to you!

I've personally witnessed Christ open blind eyes right in front of me. It is a sublime experience.

Trusting God's Word, and witnessing Christ's miracles brings invincible faith.

When you see Jesus open blind eyes, you can believe for anything.

Jesus promised believers that they could ask Him for anything in His Name, and He would do it. Believe in His Word now, and you will discover The Truth
