Three Stupid Reasons for Rejecting Christ

Please keep this between you and me, but aren't some sinners really stupid? We're polite to win them of course, but, I mean, when you hear their reasons for rejecting Christ, eternal life, and the love of God, it simply leaves you cow-eyed and gasping. Look at these real life examples:
Science and Atheism: Seeing is Believing
A professional scientist I know, with two degrees from prestigious UK universities, and publications in scientific journals, said,
'There is no God, and there is no need for God, but that doesn't stop us from inventing one. I can prove how we evolved from atoms.'
Though I love and respect him dearly, he is a fool: God's Word says so.
The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.' Ps. 14:1 Holy Bible NIV
My scientist friend spent his life studying the intricate handiwork of God, marvelling at its complexity, and delighted by its sublime perfection, truly believing it came about by accident. He had immense faith in the theory of evolution, and rejected Christ The Creator out of hand. He adored the infinite wonder of creation, without knowing The Creator.
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible... all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Jn. 1:3, Col. 1:15-17
The scientist is intelligent, sincere, but utterly doomed and without excuse:
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Ro. 1:18-20
God Doesn't Believe in Atheists
No doubt, like me, you know people who call themselves 'atheists', meaning they believe there is no God. Now they deserve deepest pity, don't they? I understand agnostics, people who are not sure if God exists, we can help them, but atheists are twice fooled. And true to the biblical description of fools, they are often loud about their folly.
The truth about agnostics and atheists:
Agnostic
Someone who believes we cannot know if God exists. In other words: A person who admits their ignorance of The Truth.
Atheist
Someone who believes that God does not exist. In other words: A person who has complete faith in their ignorance of The Truth.
Religion and Philosophy: I Did it My Way
There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice. Pr. 16:25, 12:15
Religion is a funny thing isn't it? Hilarious theatre: Daft clothes, pointed hats, spooky ceremonies, mystifying mumbo-jumbo, Juju, blood sacrifices, high drama, and mass deceit; audiences love it, and willingly pay to watch a performance. It'll run and run. But the cost is far more than the price of admission: they forfeit their eternal souls.
Each religion claims to be a way to God. The most sophisticated, Hindu mysticism, doesn't even dare to name the ultimate 'It'. Islam claims to forbid idolatry, yet adherents are commanded to bow down to a hollow rock five times a day, in complete contradiction to God's Word.
Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it. Lev. 26:1 (Dt. 5:9)
All religions are idolatrous, most; like Buddhism and Catholicism, are replete with idol worship, but any worship not directed to the LORD Jesus Christ is idolatry. Christ is Almighty God in the Flesh, when you have Him you do not need religion, you have the Real Thing.
Jesus said, I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men: the man Christ Jesus. I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins. Jn. 14:6, 1 Tim. 2:5, Jn. 8:24
Rejecting Christ is pitiful indeed. God has made a way, the only way to come to Him. We don't need bespoke religion, tailored to suit personal taste. Yuck!
Aristotle: Where Are You Now?
Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 1 Co. 1:20b
Then we have the popular philosophies typified by 'Free Thinkers' and the 'Live for Today' crowd. They reject Jesus because they want to please their own lusts and choose sin over righteousness. They explain it differently, but that's what it boils down to: Hedonism.
More serious philosophy invariably proceeds to terminal madness or suicide. Most of the 'Great Philosophers' killed themselves in bitter frustration after chasing their tails for decades. They think, discuss, dissecting words and perceptions endlessly, and what do they come up with after all the time wasting?
'I think, therefore: I am!'
Brilliant, nice work René: Have another pill, and it's your turn to wash the dishes.
Philosophy is for losers: you cannot think your way to the meaning of life. You simply have to stop rejecting Life, and receive Him into your heart. When you have Christ you have Real Life: Life with real meaning.
God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1 Jn. 5:11-12
If you don't comprehend this Word, you need to be born again.
Make Believers not Real Believers
'Oh I believe in God, I've always believed in God.'
You believe there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that - and shudder. You foolish man... Jas. 2:19
"Yes, I'm a Christian, I was born in a Christian family, Christened and confirmed in Church.'
Finally, we come to churchgoers. By which I do not mean Christians assembling to worship and fellowship according to God's Word. That's terrific, and essential for growth in Christ. I'm talking about what is commonplace in England, Europe, and America. People 'go to church', perform 'holy routines' week in week out, year upon year, but do not hear the Gospel preached, and never get saved. They perish in their sins whilst claiming to be believers. Hell's packed with them, crying, 'Why didn't anybody warn me!'
How does this happen?
Simple: They've thrown the Gospel out, and replaced it with their doctrines, creeds, and 'beliefs'.
For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 2 Tim. 4:3-4
That's why there's so many 'churches'. In reality there's only one Church, the Body of Christ on earth, made up of all truly born again believers.
For a couple of centuries after Pentecost the Church, (which is believers, not a building) flourished, they proclaimed the Gospel throughout the known world by word of mouth. On foot and by sea, no radio, or internet, door to door, they spread the true Gospel and got Bible results. Sinners were saved, healed, and delivered, in multitudes, because Christ always confirms His Word: His Message.
Then the rot set in; Catholicism arose and perverted the Gospel, followed by the Dark Ages. The Light of the World was supplanted by religion. Read the history, very messy. Finally, God raised up the Reformers to pull us out of Satan's deception, and things began to pick up a little. But people had become used to religion with its lip-service, formality and glittering veneer, so they created their own denominations and cliques.
Never underestimate the stupidity of large groups of people.
Note: there are no denominations in the Bible: just sinners and saints, the lost and the saved, believers and unbelievers. Which are you?
Practically all of the denominations, especially those ensnared by the Ecumenical Movement are apostate. Full of phoney Christians, make-believers, and not real believers. Take the United Methodists for example. John Wesley would throw a purple fit to see how decadent Methodism has become. 40% of UMC preachers deny the virgin Birth of Christ, and thus His deity.
Anglicans (Church of England) are a black-joke, teaching that Christ died for the sins of mankind so everyone goes to Heaven. I heard Archbishop Desmond Tutu say he thinks 'even Satan will ultimately go to Heaven'. God clearly states that the devil will spend eternity in the lake of fire (ie. Hell, see Rev. 20:10) Anglican leaders say he'll go to Heaven. Pure apostasy. Such is the nonsense they teach, along with satanic myths like 'Christening makes you a Christian', and you were born a Christian because Mum n'Dad were.
Then there's the appalling Doctrine of Confirmation. All it does is inoculate people against the Gospel.
Listen: Christening is a doctrine of demons, and Confirmation simply makes confirmed sinners. I know plenty of them, even amongst my relatives.
Forgive my bluntness, but being a make-believer is plain stupidity.
Do you know people like this? I certainly do, intimately.
You see; I was that stupid scientist, I was that foolish philosopher, part-time hedonist, and a make-believer since childhood. I know how daft sinners can be because I was stupid too. Until Christ had mercy, opened my ears and eyes to His Word, then saved me from my stupidity and sins.
Last week the Lord led a fourteen year-old to Christ through this ministry. He was immediately ravenous for God, astonishing me with his hunger for profound spiritual truths. Here was a baby chomping down meat, not milk. Imagine what a future he has in Christ. I was so stupid being 34 before I stopped rejecting Christ. I hope you'll learn from this fool for Christ.
