Q: My husband divorced me without my knowledge, married someone else, all the while leading me to believe that we were going to be a family.
When he finally told me, I was already pregnant, and living together, with plans of remarriage.
I am saved, and filled with His Spirit, however I am out of fellowship.
How does the Father view this?
Do I have to wait until we are remarried to resume my relationship with the Father? Catherine
A: Blimey! Some people really make life difficult for themselves.
Please go to Father today in genuine repentance, and get His Word. Nothing less will do in your case Catherine.
If I understand your question correctly, you're now living with a man who claims to be legally married to another woman. Therefore, he's in sin, and so are you. That is obvious sexual immorality, and a clear-cut situation. It has to stop. Bags have to be packed.
You are aware of this, and appear to be a sincere Christian, he's obviously unsaved, so you must take the lead, and draw the line. Father is waiting for you to do this.
The bloke will kick up a fuss, flee to his 'wife', you'll wonder if you've done the right thing, and then Father will bless you.
Start there, but go to the Lord today, and also get your local fellowship involved.
I, and others reading this, are praying for you both, and your precious unborn baby. Whatever happens, please don't consider killing your baby.
Q: Is it a sin for a pastor to leave his wife if she's physically incapable of doing sex? Torgenes, Africa
A: Yes, of course it would be sin; a husband is to love his wife as his own body (Eph. 5:28). Would he cut off his genitals if they ceased to function through old age, accident, or disease? No! Neither should he leave his wife for such an insignificant and selfish reason.
If she has HIV, he should pray in faith, anointing her with oil, and God will heal her (Jas. 5:14-16). If her body, or mind, are deformed, God can fix that too. If neither partner has faith for a healing miracle, both need to repent and start believing, instead of compounding the sin by parting.
Q: I accepted Christ in my life years ago, but I keep backsliding. I know if I experience the Holy Spirit this will stop. How do I go about receiving it. It says in the Word that God will give it to those who ask for it. I've been asking, but haven't received it, so I know I must be doing something wrong, or asking the wrong way. I'm desperate for it right now. Could you inform me on what to do in order to receive it (speaking in tongues) please? Philip
A: You are correct, the reason you are backsliding is that you lack the power of the Holy Ghost. You received the sealing of the Spirit when you were saved, but you still need to be filled, and stay filled, in order to fulfil your purpose.
The Holy Spirit is a He, God, not an it. You receive the experience of the baptism in the Holy Spirit the same way as you receive Christ: By faith. Here's a scriptural explanation of how to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
