Where does God come from?

Q: What do you say to children when they ask, Where did God Himself come from?

A: First make sure they understand that Christ is Almighty God in the Flesh, (Col. 2:9, Jn. 1 etc.) that He came from Heaven to redeem sinners. That's the vital bit. The tract Charlie's Ants is great at communicating the Incarnation to kids. But the answer you're looking for refers to the 'origin' of the Godhead, the Trinity. Simply tell them the truth.

God was not created, nor did He come from anywhere. God has always been, and always will be, He is eternal, and omnipresent. (1 Tim. 1:17, Heb. 9:14, Ac. 17:28) His name is YHWH, 'Yay-Ho-Va', (Jehovah in English) which means 'I AM', because God IS. Ex. 3:14.

Christ summed it all up in His final message in Rev. 22:13. That's good enough for me! What did He say?

Learn by experience

Q: How do you explain to children what being Born Again means?

A: Don't explain: Proclaim the Gospel, and they will find out for themselves when they are old enough to choose to repent and believe in Christ. Listen to your own 'explanations' of what being born again means, and see how pitiful they are compared to the real thing. It's better they learn from experience.

Leading children to Jesus

Q: What is the best way to share the Gospel with Children?

A: Love them, and give them room to develop. Show them what Christ is like in you, and use these Cartoon Gospel Tracts for Kids.

Please don't 'indoctrinate' them, or use peer pressure, like some parents do. It's tragically counter-productive in the long run.

A: All religions are man-made, idolatrous, and doomed. Muslims would be included in the many prophetic warnings to idolaters along with all religions. Rev. 22:15 shows where they end up unless they repent of their idolatry.

A: Simply do as you're told. Lk. 6:46, Jn. 14:15, 23-24.

The measure of faith

Q: Ro. 12:3 KJV says every man has been given given the measure of faith. Does that mean all believers have the same amount of faith?

A: Clearly not. You are misunderstanding English usage of the Sixteenth century. The measure in verse 3 means varying amounts of faith, not the same. We know because the sixth verse of the same chapter in the KJV encourages the use of the Gifts, according to the proportion of faith.

There are many other references to believers having different amounts of faith, such as Ro. 14:1-5, Eph. 3:14-17, 2 Th. 1:3, Lk.17:5 etc., and remember Christ rebuked the first disciples for their lack of faith.

God's plan for you is Ever Increasing Faith in His Living Word, expressing itself as love. Faith and love are sides of the same coin.

How to receive a miracle

How do I pray to receive a miracle from God?

A: First get rid of your burden of sin by Being Born again. Then understand the fulness of what Christ has done for you in Redemption. Next, learn what real Bible faith is, how to pray effectively, and finally ask believing, and Receive your Miracle from God.

How to follow Jesus

Q: Jesus said that we should forsake all, and follow Him; does that mean I shouldn't apply for a job tomorrow to pay for college books?

A: Excellent question, the kind we all ask at some stage. The answer is easy: Do as you're told. Listen to Him, and get your daily instructions direct from Him, and you'll never go wrong. All you need is total commitment, and obedience to Him, coupled with integrity. Nobody on Earth knows better than you what Christ is saying to you. He loves you perfectly, and always leads you into what is best.
