Q: My Girlfriend is a hardcore Catholic. I used to be too, until my eyes were opened 25 years ago. We have some heated debates about religion, that always end up with me being called names, or sent away. I am not very well versed in the Word, so I can't defend my beliefs as well as she can hers. I never try to Bible thump her, she's the one who raises the subject.
Is it possible to date, love, and marry someone who is not saved? Who's eyes have been blinded. What do I tell her when she asks me do I believe she is going to Hell? What do I tell her when she says she's a Christian? Ray
A: Ray, don't even think of marrying her, she's an unsaved religious sinner, and God specifically warns His Children not to be unequally yoked. To marry her is to disobey God's clear Word. 2 Co. 6:14-18. You would be yoked to an idolater.
Catholics are not Christian, they belong to a demonic cult, a shabby counterfeit of Christianity.
Understand the details why this is so; educate, and arm yourself in the Word, then make it clear to her she is absolutely Hell-bound and doomed until she gets saved the Bible way.
Let her know you are mere friends from now on, with no possibility of marriage.
Do not compromise, tell the truth in love.
Ray, this should have been blindingly obvious to you long ago. You're asleep at the wheel of your life, wake up and get filled with the Holy Spirit.
Q: Does God change His purpose?
A: Almighty God is a Lover, that is His nature, He created you to have a loving rapport with you. Your ancestors, Adam and Eve, rebelled against Him, rejected God's Word and accepted Satan's, bringing death and judgment to all of us.
Almighty God is also a Redeemer, that too is His nature. He likes to fix broken things, rather than destroy them.
He didn't leave you to exist and die without having a way back to Him. Almighty God came Himself, the Living Word made Flesh, and took the penalty and Judgment each of us deserves, in our place.
He sealed a New Covenant in His Blood that anyone who is willing to turn to Christ, trusting that He is Almighty God in the Flesh, died in their stead, and rose again; is forgiven, reinstated, and given eternal life.
The Old Testament foreshadows His purpose of redemption, and the New Testament describes it's perfect fulfilment, and our obligations.
God in the Flesh commanded all believers to make proclaiming this simple message their life purpose.
Q: I was a Christian before, and I converted to be a Muslim about a year ago. Now I realise that I've made a big mistake and I want to be a New-Born Christian. Can I convert from Muslim to Christian? Pearl in Malaysia
A: Yes, you can become a Christian if you are willing to do two simple things.
You claim you were previously a Christian, but that simply is not true.
You called yourself a Christian because you were brought up to do that. Perhaps you also attended some church services, but you'd never actually been born again. You were a nominal Christian; that means a Christian in name, but not in reality.
I know that is a fact, because nobody who has truly received the LORD Jesus Christ into their heart would reject Him for anything else, and certainly not an idol like Islam. You had religion, but not a true relationship with Christ.
So get the real Thing today.
He will then guide you personally what to do about your husband, and his family. You cannot be a secret Christian, you must follow Christ publicly, and take whatever comes for His Glory.
