Are women pastors allowed?

Q: I believe that women who call themselves 'Pastor' are in direct disobedience to God and His Word. Am I wrong in this belief? Sharon

A: Yes, you are wrong Sharon, if God has called a woman to pastor, and she obeys, then she is a Pastor.

The baseline for this topic is the majestic, religion-shattering, tradition-trampling passage of Gal. 3:26-29. Please read it out loud, and listen to the Holy Spirit.

Note that in Christ, God makes no distinction between male and female believers. He treats them the same. Let that Gospel fact sink deep into your spirit, accept it, and be willing to repent of your false beliefs.

Only Men?

Doubtless you have been led astray by male false-teachers abusing 1 Tim. 2:12 to prohibit women from teaching men. That verse refers only to the husband and wife situation in the home, not women believers in the Body of Christ.

Singing in tongues

A: Indeed, singing in tongues in group worship is commonplace. Often an individual singer will also bring a message that will edify the Church when it is interpreted into the local language. I know people who are used like this in almost every worship service.

Controlling Anger

A: Don't even try to control it, it's the Holy Spirit wanting to express Himself through you. Simply do what He leads you to do, say what He tells you to say. Righteous anger is good and godly, that is why Christians are commanded to Be ye angry... Eph. 4:6..

Christ was furious when He found His Father's house abused. He followed the Spirit's leading, made a whip, overturned tables, drove out the livestock, and threw out the money-changers, all without sinning. Jn. 2:15, Mtt. 21:12. The Spirit led Him to act, not pray, or tolerate the sin.

How can a Christian see cancer, or a crippled child, and not be angry? Kick the Devil out in Jesus' Name! Mtt. 11:12 also speaks directly to this situation.

Unsaved Husband?

A: There are many ways, and the fact you're asking indicates that he is not a Christian. How could, or indeed why would, a Christian hide the wonder of Christ in them? Cowardice, fear of rejection? See what the LORD Jesus Christ thinks of suchlike in Rev. 21:8.

We cannot know what is in a person's heart, only the Lord knows.

Such comments are brute ignorance of God's Word; that tells us we certainly can know what is in their hearts, as was plainly stated repeatedly by Christ Himself in Mtt. 12:34-35, again in Mtt. 15:18-19, and so on.

You tell a Christian by what they do and say.

If he isn't sincerely talking, and walking, as a true disciple of Christ, he is not a Christian. If he's simply backslidden, he'll admit it, and get right with God. 1 Jn. 3:6. Confront him, in love, and get him saved.
