Q: We are told to "seek first The Kingdom", what exactly does this mean? Angela
A: A splendid question, and your curiosity is a sure sign the Lord is working in your life.
It is a precious topic, best revealed to you by the Holy Spirit directly, but I don't want to tease, so I'll tell you plainly, then ask God for personal revelation and confirmation.
It means the rule of Christ in a believer's heart.
Every sinner is in the kingdom of Satan, they are ruled by their father, the Devil, and the flesh.
The instant a sinner is born of God they are transferred from the dominion of Satan into the Kingdom of God. See Col. 1:13.
Remember this; when Christ said 'seek first his kingdom', He was speaking to sinners under the Old Covenant, none of them were born again, they couldn't be until after the resurrection of Christ.
Born again believers are children of God, in the Kingdom, no longer captives, and we are to walk in obedience, in His victory, and let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts.
Another topic with great blessing. But wait, can any words of mine do this justice? No, it is too beautiful for any man's words. I've spoon fed you, now ask the Lord to confirm it to you personally Angela.
Q: What does pride of life mean? Concetta
A: The expression is used in the KJV in 1 Jn. 2:16, and refers to ungodly boasting about what you have and do. It comes from the world, not from the Spirit of God. The only thing God tells us to boast about is Him, and what He's done for us in Christ. 2 Co. 10:17, Ga. 6:14, Ps. 34:2. You can boast all day about Jesus!
Q: Is it right to confess sins to a priest?
A: No, the confessional is a demonic invention that drags both parties deeper into sin. Catholics have used it down the centuries simply to spy on the private lives of their cult members. They copied it from the Babylonian pagan priests.
When a Christian sins, they should repent immediately, and ask their Heavenly Father for forgiveness according to His Word. 1 Jn. 1:9. Christ is the only mediator between God and man (1 Tim. 2:5), not Mary, not the pope, and certainly no priest.
God came as a Man, and poured out His Blood so that each of us can come directly into the Most Holy Place, through faith in Christ alone. Heb. 10:19-22. It simply doesn't get better than that, and it is entirely free. Eph. 2:8-9. Are you willing to forfeit this Gift for a religious satanic counterfeit?
If you have sinned against a person, you should also go to them and ask them to forgive you. Jas. 5:16, Mtt. 18:15-22, Lk. 15:21 etc.
Who really is the Queen of Heaven that Catholics worship?
Certainly not Mary
