A: That's easy! Countless Scriptures declare Christ to be God, for example, Jn. 1:1-12, Col. 2:9 (here's lots more references).

But your basic premise is false: Christ is spoken of in the Scriptures by many other titles that declare His Divinity. Note particularly, in Revelation 21:6 the resurrected and ascended LORD Jesus Christ referred to Himself as 'the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End' and again in 22:13, together with the title 'the First and the Last'.

Read those verses and tell me who you think that is? When you have finished guessing, read who Jesus and the Holy Spirit tell us it is in Rev. 1:8.

Christ's divinity was also prophesied using this description by the Prophet Isaiah in Is. 48:12, 44:6.

In addition, when God the Father begets His Only Son, how can that Son be anything other than divine? If you have a son, that child is just as human as you, isn't he? You cannot sire a monkey, or a dog, you can only reproduce your kind.

A: Yes, a big difference. It is best to reserve the term 'speaking in tongues' for the use of the Gift of speaking in tongues described in 1 Co. Chs. 12 and 14, which is public, for edification of the Church, and must be interpreted. Whereas praying and worshipping in tongues uses the personal tongues given to every Spirit-filled believer.

A: No, wake-up, the opposite is true. Punching the slave's ear-lobe to the door-post, as in Ex. 21:6, signified lifelong bondage to their earthly-master. The type is of our slavery to sin and Satan.

Christ sets a believer free from all sin, bondage, and captivity. The actual Jubilee. For a believer to pierce themselves, is an insult to their Heavenly Lord, who has given them perfect liberty.

That is why David sang metaphorically, "my ears you have pierced". Ps. 40:6 NIV. Had God literally pierced David's ear lobes? No, so don't try twisting that verse as an excuse to justify piercing yourself.
