Unfaithful husband

Q: I think my husband is being unfaithful, what should I do?

A: Find out for sure, ask Jesus, and if He confirms it, ask Him how to go about confronting your husband. Be redemptive, and remember how Jesus came to you when you were unfaithful and deep in sin. Follow The Love of Christ, and use your authority over the seducing spirits trying to destroy your marriage.

To baptise or not?

A: Unbelievers and the unsaved cannot, new believers can, and all believers must!

Q: If you 'sleep with' someone before marriage should you get married to the person?

A: Not unless Father tells you to. I've seen several tragic marriages founded on the assumption that marrying somehow 'repairs the damage'.

Can you ask God if I have committed the unforgivable sin?

A: Ask Jesus yourself, He's been waiting to hear from you, and He knows better than I do. He's kind to the wicked and the ungrateful, so He'll let you know for sure. Lk. 6:35.

Treasure in Heaven

A: There's no doubt it is scriptural, but it needs to be accompanied by love, holiness, unselfishness, kindness, integrity, etc. otherwise you'll end up as another cock-eyed covetous Christian.

My heart's desire, and faith, is that I'll spend every penny I've got on proclaiming Christ, and have no money left when I go to Glory.

The Today's NIV

Q: Is the Today's NIV (tNIV) a good translation?

A: Soon after I was saved I discovered English language is male-biased, and poor at conveying nuances of gender, so I accustomed myself to include the feminine where appropriate. ie. Bretheren or brothers, meaning both male and female believers etc. The tNIV gender inclusive language tries to follow the original Hebrew and Greek, so that is an improvement. I like what I've seen so far, but I'll probably stick with my NIV, Tyndale NT, and KJV.

Baptism terminology

Q: What is the difference between being filled with the Spirit, and being baptized in (or with) the Spirit?

A: None, they are the same thing, but don't confuse being baptised in water in the Names of the Trinity, with the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, or with the born again baptism. They are three very distinct experiences. You'll find lots of similar questions answered here: Water Baptism Faq.

Should I be Baptised again?

Q: If I've already been baptized, and I backslid, do I need to get re-baptized in order to be saved again? Jennifer

A: Not if you are referring to water baptism. If you were genuinely saved before you were water baptised, once is enough. But most people backslide because they lack the Power Baptism, and we all need that continually. Eph. 5:18b The Greek for be filled is literally, be being filled. Present continuous tense.
