Q: We know that Roman Catholics are full of idolatry, and will die in their sins, but I have heard very little commentary anywhere on the Orthodox church. Are they in the same situation? Michael
A: Yes utterly doomed, 'Orthodox Christianity' (an eerily Orwellian designation) is just another production from Satan's religious theatre, masquerading as Christianity. They include the Eastern, Greek, and Russian Orthodox 'churches'.
Eastern Orthodox 'Christians' are idolaters who slobber over, and worship, images, (they call it 'venerating icons') and like Catholics, blasphemously claim their 'Divine liturgy' converts the 'Eucharist' biscuit into the actual Body of Christ, and the wine into the true Blood of Christ.
They also teach baptismal regeneration, infant baptism, deny sola scripture, and hold many other heresies.
Orthodox 'Christians' split from Roman Catholic control during the 'Great Schism' in the eleventh century. They rejected the authority of Rome, substituting their own patriarchs for the popes.
They also claim Mary remained a life-long virgin, which is clearly refuted by Mtt.1:25 and Mtt. 1:18. Dead religion, serving only to deceive the gullible.
I have a Chinese Christian friend who is remarkably 'tolerant' in his attempts to include as Christians those who claim to be.
After a stint as a missionary in Central Asia, I asked him how he got along with the Orthodox 'Christians' there. Tellingly, even he, could not find any spiritual fellowship with them. Because there's none between light and darkness. 2 Co. 6:14.
Q: Who was John G. Lake?

A: An astonishingly effective missionary evangelist of the early 20th century. Lake was a highly successful businessman, who, in stunning obedience to Christ's call, gave away his entire fortune, and took his family to Africa on one-way tickets. In just four years, Lake established over 600 fellowships, with a powerful miracle ministry.
Read these John G. Lake sermons, and you will be thrilled, challenged, and transformed in your walk with God. The Lord has more for you today than you can possibly imagine. Do you want it?
Q: Which pleases God the most; seeing us stop sinning, our obedience, praying, or worship?
A: A wonderful question! Each of those aspects of our walk pleases Him when they spring from heart love.
I recall reading that Smith Wigglesworth thought our worship thrilled Father most. That would be true worship, not just singing, of course.
Have you noticed that you can reach a point in sincere striving to please God, at which He begins to 'check' you? Many Christians have 'burned out' because they ignored this check from God. I really love Him for reminding us to rest in Him, and let Him do the work through us. The key is to stay in close fellowship with Him, and that thrills both parties.
Touchingly, the tragic reprobate John Lennon, admitted that, despite his epic sinful indulgence, the happiest times he ever experienced were when he was simply being held in the arms of the person he knew really loved him.
Aren't you glad you are loved and held by Almighty God?
