What happens to the dead?

Q: Before Christ returns, where do the dead go in the meantime, and, does praying for them have any effect on their souls? Francisco

A: Praying for the dead is a demonic practice, and has no effect whatsoever on those who died in their sins. Since they rejected Christ in this life, they are eternally damned. In Jn. 8:21-24 Christ makes it crystal clear, that if a person dies in their sins, they cannot go to Heaven. It is too late.

Those who die rejecting Christ are eternally condemned to Hell. They are in Hades (Hell) now, Rev. 20:11-15, and will be judged at the Great White Throne judgment, and cast into the Lake of Fire, The Second Death. You see why soul-winning is our life-priority, and those who win souls are wise?

In Spirit and Truth

Q: What does God mean when He says He is Spirit, and we must worship him in spirit and in truth? Joseph

A: Wonderful! I notice we get the very best questions from Africans. This is a rich vein. But, basically Jesus was making the point that ritualistic worship, in a certain place, or in an outward religious ritual, is useless. God wants true worship that comes from the believer's spirit, their heart. Nothing else will do. See Jn. 4:19-26.

Interpreting Tongues

Q: Can a Christian have the Gifts of speaking in tongues, and the ability to interpret at the same time? James

A: Yes, that is how it usually works. The speaker will give the message in tongues, then the Holy Spirit will give him, or her, the interpretation in their mother tongue, and they speak that out following the tongues message. But often, somebody else gets the interpretation, rather than the tongues speaker. The Holy Spirit chooses who to give His Gifts to. 1 Co. 12:11.

A Christian Buddhist?

Q: Can I become a Christian (believe in Jesus Christ), and also be a Buddhist, are we not allowed to believe in more than one religion? Rio

A: No Rio, with Christ it is all or nothing. Jesus is Almighty God in The Flesh, He brought salvation and Life, not religion. When you know Him, you have the Real Thing, and have no use for the counterfeits. You cannot believe in The Truth, and a lie can you? They are mutually exclusive. There's no harmony between God and Satan, you must choose. Jn. 14:6, 1 Co. 10:18-22. Like this old Buddhist Nun finally did.
