Consequences of sin

Q: I committed adultery with someone at work, but I've repented, and not done it again. Though I now walk in fellowship with Jesus Christ, I'm miserable in my job, reminded of my sin. What should I do? Debbie

A: Christ has forgiven you. God in the Flesh was punished and died for your guilt. Your sin is gone Debbie. Stay clean, and ask the Lord to direct you to a new job where He can use you for His Glory. He will make a way when there seems to be none.

If you are married, you must also ask your husband to forgive you. Heb. 13:4, Jas. 5:16. Love harbours no secret sins.

Not a denomination

A: A Christian. To be born again means to receive the Life of God into your heart and become a new creation in Christ. It happens the instant a sinner responds to the Gospel, and chooses to repent and believe in Christ as LORD. Plenty of people who call themselves 'Christian' have never done this, and will die in their sins. That is why Jesus said you must be born again. Jn. 3.

A: By following Christ wholeheartedly. Those who compromise forfeit the peace of God, and will be ashamed at their Judgment. 1 Jn. 4:17, Mk. 8:38, 1 Co. 4:5, 2 Co. 5:10.

A: Let her see Christ in you, and shine for Jesus. Love her, forgive and pray for her. Endure it as discipline (Heb. 12: 1-13, 1 Pe. 3:12-19) and you will learn that Love never fails Jerry.

Sprinkling simply isn't baptism

Q: Someone we know was 'baptised' by 'sprinkling' with water, should we tell them that it was not true baptism, even if they are saved? Halima

A: Of course, but use wisdom, gentleness, and tact, just like your Lord does. You could do a joint Bible study on baptism, comparing it with burial and death, to convey the full immersion aspect. Also, take them to see a proper baptism. That is its purpose, to show obedience, and submission to Christ.

They are almost certainly not Spirit-filled either, so work on that too.
