Q: Why do most churches today tell people they have no 'licensed' counsellors when a person is looking for Spiritual Counselling? Yvonne

A: There was a disastrous fad in the eighties where Christians got on the Spiritual counselling and mentoring bandwagon. By mixing Scripture with psychology, many well-meaning Christians caused more harm than good.

Wise heads have learned the lesson, and simply tell people to get the solution direct from The Counsellor, and The Mentor.

I prefer what they do at the world's largest church, pastored by Yonggi Cho in Seoul, where over a million Spirit-filled members meet to worship.

If anyone has a problem, they are told to go up the mountain and get the answer from the LORD. They have a mountain where, all they do is fast, pray, and seek the Lord individually. They don't come down until they get The Word. Now where have I seen that before?
