Born Again Catholics?

Pedalling Religion's Treadmill

Q: I'm Roman Catholic. When I was in CCD, I made my Confirmation, no one, not even our priest, told us we had to be 'Born Again', as long as we followed the Ten Commandments, went to church, and tried to live as Jesus would want us to live, that was considered good. So, why do I have to be 'Born Again'? Kim

A: Because you are unsaved, still in your sins, and Hell-bound. Roman Catholicism is not Christianity, it is a system of false religious bondage designed to keep you from the simple Truth of the Gospel.

The reason you are here asking is because The LORD Jesus Christ is waking you up before it is too late. Here's why in detail, with lots of Good News for Catholics.

Must he believe in the Trinity?

Q: I have a friend who doesn't accept the Trinity of God (former JW.) He's accepted Jesus as Lord, so is he saved? Steve

A: Fascinating question Steve. The key is, what does he mean by accepting Jesus as Lord. Because Jehovah's Witnesses have no problem claiming they do that, but to them it means Christ is a god, not Almighty God in the Flesh.

If your friend has truly accepted that Jesus is Lord (ie. LORD, meaning Yahweh in the Flesh), and received Him, he is saved. But then he would not contradict the Word of God, by denying the Trinity. Pin him down on who Christ is, if he accepts that He is Almighty God in the Flesh, then show him the Scriptures revealing the Trinity.

Esther's One Night Stand

Q: What do you think of the movie 'One Night with the King'? Diane

A: I haven't seen it, though it sounds interesting. Bear in mind that Hollywood biblical epics are mostly made, and financed, by Jews. They are therefore heavy on Law and legalism, and completely miss the focus of the Old Testament: The LORD Jesus Christ.

He did it all for you

Q: Since salvation is by grace, why does the Scripture command us to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Phil. 2:12b

A: How the cults love to use that verse to instil fear, bondage, and legalism into the gullible. The work of salvation is done, finished (Eph. 2:8-10). All you need to do is receive your salvation by faith (Ro. 10:8-13), walk in it, and proclaim this Good News until Jesus comes. His yoke is easy and his burden is light.

Are you worried about facing God at your Judgment?

We are to work out our salvation, not work for it. Fear and trembling in the sense of loving awe, and reverence, not fearing fire, sword and hammer! We walk in God's perfect peace and rest in Christ's finished work of Salvation: He did it all for us, just go and tell the world.
