The Devil's music?

Q: Is Rock music evil?

A: Mostly yes, because it comes from sinner's hearts who are under the control of Satan. Rock n'Roll is a euphemism for fornicating. It varies from the overtly demonic, to the more subtle idolatry of 'love songs'.

One of the first things I noticed after I got saved was that the Lord took the desire for Rock music away from me. Previously, I was a continuous listener. Soon as I was born again, I just stopped listening to it, and can't abide it now. Praise God!

Sinners will mock you for saying this, but that is their nature. I would have done the same too before the Lord opened my eyes and ears. The truth is Rock music really is the Devil's music, but he's got lots more besides.

Gambling on the Lottery

Q: Is it okay for Christians to play the lottery?

A: No. It is gambling, and unrighteous. Just stop and think about why you want to do it, and you will see for yourself.

You want to get rich without earning, or deserving it, and by relying on chance. That opens you up to greed, covetousness, and trusting in 'fortune'. Those who trust in 'luck', 'fate' and 'fortune' are actually trusting in Satan, and he will delight in accommodating their sin and rebellion.

Instead, put your whole trust in the Living Word of God, follow Christ's rule in your heart, and He will give you all you need, just as He promised, Lk. 12:31.

Cart before the horse

Q: Do you have to be baptised to be a Christian?

A: No, it is the other way around. You have to be a Christian before you can be baptised. According to the Holy Bible, the born again experience must precede water baptism.

Baptism in water is merely a symbolic representation of what has already happened to the believer in Christ. As soon as anyone is truly born of God, they will want to get baptised in water in obedience to the command, and example, of their Lord. Mtt. 28:19-21, 3:15.

Interpreting Tongues

Q: During a church service must tongues always be interpreted? Ray

A: It depends on how God is using them, and what kind of meeting it is. Tongues in group worship should only be used in believers meetings. Damned for using the NIV?

Q: I have used the KJV for a year, but now I'm using the NIV and I have found that God wants me to use this version. Will God still save me if I don't use the KJV?

A: Of course! I got saved reading the John Knox Translation, and I use the NIV, KJV, and Tyndale's NT. It is the Living Word, The LORD Jesus Christ who is the Saviour, Not a Book.
