The link between forgiveness and healing

Q: Are healing and forgiveness linked together?

A: Yes, they are intimately related. Notice how often Christ told a sick person their sins were forgiven as He healed them.

Salvation from sin includes salvation from physical sickness, because all sickness has its root in sin. Either the sick person's sin, or their ancestors going back to Adam.

When the sin problem is fixed, so is the disease problem. 1 Pe. 2:24. That is why every believer can claim perfect health. Doubters exclude themselves from this Blood-bought blessing.

In similar fashion, holding onto unforgiveness will make you sick because you are rebelling against the Word of God instead of believing it. When you believe, you will obey. Jn. 14:23-24. That is why Healing in the Lord's Supper should be emphasised, not ignored.

Drunk in the Spirit

Q: Does the Holy Spirit make people appear to act 'drunk', as if in a stupor?

A: He certainly can do, though it is not a requirement! It happened on the Day of Pentecost, (Ac. 2) and is alluded to in Eph. 5:18. I've seen, and experienced, it myself many times. There are counterfeits of course, but don't worry, the Lord will show you when something is false, listen to Him.

In at the deep end

Q: Can I be baptised in a swimming pool?

A: Of course, as long as it is done the Bible way. You can be baptised anywhere in public if there's sufficient water for total immersion. The more public: The better testimony. Do it where the sinners are.

The important thing is that you must be saved beforehand, otherwise it is just a useless empty ritual. More Baptism Questions.

Wolf in sheep's clothing

Q: Do you think Bush has ever asked, What would Jesus do?

A: If he has, it was only to do the opposite, because Bush follows the antiChrist spirit not The LORD Jesus Christ. As is plain for all to see. We've been warning people for several years about: The Madness of King George.

When a polygamist gets saved

Q: On your Polygamy article you left us in suspense. Should a newly saved polygamist send away the other wives, and stay with the first? Beybunui

A: Yes you got it right. The rest are not truly his wives. But since he is responsible for them, and any children they bore him, he should provide for them financially. The polygamist in the article was reprobate, even trying to flirt with my fiancée, who gave him very short shrift.

Phoney conversion

Q: What if you convert to Christianity and do not believe?

A: You remain in your sins and Hell-bound like all nominal 'Christians'. Unless you believe in your heart, you are not a Christian. Ro. 10:9-13. A token confession to 'convert', in order to please someone, or marry somebody, is plain hypocrisy, and doesn't fool God. You must be born again.

Only one way to be righteous

Q: Who were the Pharisees?

A: The Pharisees were the most popular sect of Judaism at the time of Christ. The others were the Essenes and the Sadducees. Pharisee, means set apart. They tried diligently to obey the Mosaic Law without fault, and by doing so thought that made them acceptable to God, according to Deut. 6:25.

They missed the whole point of the Ten Commandments and The Law! Understand: What God's Law is for.

In effect, they were claiming self-righteousness, without admitting that they fell far short of the Law, and were plain hypocrites. That is why, when God came in person, He roundly rebuked the religious crowd.

Their response was to kill Him, and by submitting to death, He provided for our eternal salvation, offering His spotless righteousness to whoever believes. Ro. 3:21-22. Do you want to be righteous? You can see why we praise God for ever-more can't you?
