Interpreting tongues

Q: Can a person who gives a message in tongues interpret that same message? Dennis

A: Yes, 1 Co. 14:13 encourages the individual who brings the tongues message to ask God for the interpretation, so they can edify the assembly.

Smith Wigglesworth was noted for both speaking in tongues, and then interpreting the message, whilst he was actually preaching.

Encourage the use of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, but watch out for the counterfeits. Leaders should shut them up quickly when they spot one. 2 Co. 11:14.

New King James version

A: The NKJV is a fine translation, I use it myself, though I prefer the Tyndale NT with the KJV for accuracy and beauty, combined with the NIV for clarity and communication. Remember The Best Bible Translation.

A: Do you mean a demon who tries to cause you to doubt the Gospel by intellectual reasoning and questions? I've certainly met sinners ensnared in that situation. A: With respect, that sounds like a question from somebody indoctrinated by religion. Understand, Christianity is not about rituals, rites, ceremonies, and practices. It's about following the Living God; walking in His Life, trusting that everything that needs to be done for our salvation was accomplished once and for all by The LORD Jesus Christ. Oh it is so wonderful to have real Peace with God, and you'll never get it through any religion or works of your own.
