Women preachers

Q: Should women teach the Bible?

A: All women believers are commanded to proclaim the Gospel to every creature. Mk. 16:15, Mtt. 28:20. If God calls them specifically to Bible teaching ministry too, they must obey. Don't misconstrue Paul's comments about silencing women, see The Woman Question.

Women Leaders

Q: Are there any Bible references for women preachers, or women as leaders? Marlon

A: Plenty. In Christ, under the New Covenant, there are no distinctions between men and women believers. See above.

Wife not Woman

Q: Women Preachers: What about 1 Tim. 2:9-15 saying women are not to be the head of any church?

A: The Scripture doesn't say that Robert. The Greek gyne used there, should be translated as wife, not woman. The Holy Spirit is talking about a husband and wife situation, not men and women in general. Notice 'the man' in the KJV 1 Tim. 2:12. Otherwise it would completely contradict the Gospel of redemption, in addition to the many exhortations for women believers to preach and proclaim Christ to every creature. There's much more on this here The Woman Question.

Bible Integrity

Q: What does the Bible say about integrity? Roscoe

A: The integrity of the Living Word of God is its foundation, backbone, and Glory. Read it understanding that integrity, love, and faith are inextricably linked.

Seeing demons

Q: My Mom saw a demon a few weeks ago in her room; can demons take visible form?

A: Well, I hope she chased it out in the Name of Jesus.

Perception in an open vision can appear to be physical, but it's an area we need to be careful not to get deceived. Smith Wigglesworth, E.W. Kenyon, and Ken Hagin have all given warnings about seeking visions, and counterfeit manifestations.

I've come across sinners sucked into spiritism, animism, and witchcraft who claim to often see demons physically.

Physical manifestations of demons are reported regularly in; Hinduism, Catholicism, and Buddhism, as 'gods', 'spirits' or 'apparitions of Mary', Fatima, etc.

However, demons are more mundanely revealed when they oppress, or possess, a person resulting in sinful behaviour (drug addiction, perversions, etc), or sickness such as cancer, epilepsy, and mental illness etc. You see examples all around you.

Demons also manifest in people, and are cast out wherever the Gospel is preached in power by Spirit-filled evangelists. Ac. 8:4-8. A demon manifested the first time I proclaimed Christ on the mission field.

Quality Bible papers

Q: What is the difference between India paper and Bible paper?

Copyright CUP Used by permission

A: India paper is the highest quality, being thin, yet opaque, and very durable.

Bible paper is slightly thicker, making it better for study Bibles where you want to make notes. Both 'feel' quite distinct from the ordinary paper used in many mass-produced Bibles. Once you've owned a Cambridge Bible you won't settle for anything less.

Queen of Heaven?

Q: Who is the 'Queen of Heaven'; is it Mary the mother of Jesus? Nneka

A: No, Catholics attempt to deify Mary using that blasphemous title, but she was born a sinner just like all of us. (Lk. 1:47, 2:22-24, Ro. 3:10).

Catholics got it from the pagan demon worshipped in Chaldean, Babylonian, and Persian idolatry. The Prophet Jeremiah rebuked Israel for worshipping this demon, and look how God judged them. Jer. 44. See The Immaculate Conception Deception.

How to prophecy

Q: How can I prophecy? Sphamandla

A: The Gift of prophecy is given by God as He determines 1 Co. 12:7-11. We are to eagerly desire such Gifts, 1 Co. 14:1. But understand that prophecy is much more than just bringing a specific word by the Holy Spirit to a group or individual, as it it practised in Charismatic fellowships. That's vital, but only a small facet of prophecy.

Kittel's Bible Lexicon definition of prophecy is voluminous, and by far its greatest part is what we would call preaching the Word. So when you proclaim the Gospel, you are indeed prophesying, speaking forth the Word of the Lord. Concentrate on that, and let the Lord give you the Gift of prophecy if He wants to. That way, you won't get side-tracked, and unbalanced, like so many do.

The SDA Adventist cult

Q: My SDA friend says that having photographs of my family is idol worship, is that right? Shannon

A: No, of course not! Adventists are not Christian. They are a peculiar legalistic cult following the teachings of an American false-prophetess called Ellen White. You can safely ignore all the 'spiritual advice' your friend gives you. See more about the SDA cult.

Christian jargon

Q: Can you help me to understand Christian jargon?

A: Yes, it's embarrassing isn't it? I've begun explaining some Common Christian terms. Send in more suggestions.

Freemasons, Masons, and Masonry

Q: On the radio they were talking about Masons and Freemasonry; what is a Mason? Sharon

A: Masons, or Freemasons, are members of an evil, secretive, demonic cult. They like to recruit influential and business people (usually men) to form a network. Many world leaders are Masons.

They pick and choose bits of the Bible, or religious books, to erect a façade of respectability. They are sworn to secrecy, take part in demonic rituals, and are sucked into occult bondage.

Many of America's leaders have been Freemasons

Most US Presidents have been in this sinister cult, notably George Washington and Harry Truman. They even incorporated their demonic symbols into the Washington DC street plan, and on the US currency.

In the end they discover they are worshipping Satan, whom they call Baphomet. Christians have nothing to do with masonry, other than to expose it.

Rock music is clearly demonic, but what about...
