Baby Dedication

Christening is evil: Dedication is biblical

Q: What is baby dedication all about?

A: Dedicating a new born baby to God is a Christian alternative to the awful religious invention of 'Christening'. Christening is a satanic counterfeit of baptism. Real Christians never 'Christen' babies.

However, unsaved relatives often expect some sort of ceremony, so dedicating the baby to the service of God, and asking His blessing upon it, is a more biblical alternative. Understand that it does not save the baby, or 'make it a Christian' in any way.

Personally, I prefer the parents themselves to do it in the home rather than in a formal 'Church' setting, so that it doesn't become another useless ritual.

The Muslim False Christ

Q: Do Muslims believe in Jesus Christ?

A: No they are trained to say that they do, but of course they do not. Anyone who believes in Him turns away from idolatry and religion to follow Him. Jn. 14:15, 23-24.

Muslims claim to accept 'Jesus Christ' as a Prophet of 'Allah'. They deny that He is the Son of God, and they deny that He is The LORD Almighty: God in the Flesh.

The 'Jesus Christ' in their 'Koran' is yet another false Christ, typical of those He warned us about. (Mtt. 24:24) Read what an ex-Muslim says about Christ and the Koran.

Casting out demons

Q: Can a born again believer cast a demon out if they are not filled with the Holy Spirit?

A: The power is in the Word of God, and The Name of Christ. It is faith in these that ensures the demon has to leave. Ac. 3:16.

I have known of cases like you mention, but why not get filled, and do it the Bible way?

It is possible to pull a nail out of a piece of wood with your teeth, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's a lot easier when you use the method recommended by The Master Carpenter.

Only in name

Q: What is a nominal Christian?

A: A nominal Christian is somebody who claims to be a Christian but is unsaved, still in their sins, not born again. You'll find plenty in the denominations, and all the pseudoChristian cults. (RC, JW, LDS, ICC, SDA, etc.)

They 'go to Church', perform the rites and rituals, assent to Creeds, but have never responded to the Gospel the Bible way, and sadly, die in their sins.

Who was born without sin?

Was anyone ever born sinless, without sin?

A: Adam and Eve were created without sin, but of those born of woman, only The LORD Jesus Christ was born sinless. (Ro. 3:9-10, 2. Co. 5:21, Heb. 4:15, 1 Pe. 2:22, 1 Jn. 3:5). Catholics blasphemously claim Mary was born sinless, see The Immaculate Conception Deception for details.

How did Methodists start?

Q: How did Methodists get their name?

A: John and Charles Wesley were diligently trying to honour God whilst studying at Oxford University. They developed a method of prayer and Bible study which prompted fellow students to nickname them both Methodists. The name stuck even though neither of the Wesleys was saved until many years later.

They were unsaved nominal Christian missionaries in the American colonies. Only after they failed, and came to the end of their own efforts did God show them the only 'method' of being saved. Once humbled, and born again, John and Charles Wesley set England on fire with the Gospel.

Regrettably, modern Methodists have deteriorated to become largely apostate. 40 percent of UMC leaders deny the tenets of the Gospel. Dead wood.

Baby killers

Q: What is the Christian view of abortion?

A: The same as God's: Abortion is Murder.

Never heard the Good News

Q: What happens to people who die without ever hearing the Gospel?

A: That's answered at the bottom of this page: What about those who have never heard of Jesus?

Evil spirits

Q: What are evil spirits according to the Bible?

A: That is covered fully in this four part series on: Demons and Evil Spirits.

Better Bible?

Q: Which is better, the NIV, or the NASB Bible?

A: I prefer the Cambridge English NIV by far.

Child back from death

Q: Who in the Bible raised a child from the dead?

A: Well for starters; Both Elijah (1 Ki. 17:7-24), and Elisha (2 Ki. 4:8-37) raised children from the dead in the OT, and of course The LORD Jesus Christ raised Jairus' dead daughter, Lk. 8:49-56. Can you find any more?
