Has Noah's Ark Been Found?

The Genesis account of God Judging the world and rescuing a remnant of Creation in Noah's Ark is absolutely and literally true, just as it has been written.

Many people claim that it still exists on Mount Ararat, some say they have found the Ark, and even been inside it.

It's an exciting thought that would turn the scientific world on its head. Numerous expeditions to validate such claims have been mounted, but what genuine evidence is there?

To ensure the sun never set on Queen Victoria's bloody Empire her subjects were nourished with a continuous diet of crude propaganda. Patriotic racist themes echoed throughout a nation made rich by exploitation of colonies and the slave trade.

Snotty-nosed nippers were weaned on Boy's Own stories of their 'heroes' extending the Empire, disembowelling Hottentots and Zulu's, and 'civilizing savages'.

Dewey-eyed patriots sang 'God save our gracious Queen', whilst 'rebellious natives' perished without her grace or mercy. In Hong Kong recalcitrants were publicly hung by the neck in wooden stocks until they slowly expired. Massacres of 'wogs' by British soldiers in India, the Middle East, and Africa, were commonplace.

Meanwhile, the Queen read her Bible with untroubled conscience.

Within 50 years of Victoria's death, the greatest Empire the world had ever known, was gone.

Egyptian, Assyrian, Persian, Greek, Roman, Mongol, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and British Empires have each come and gone. Doomed by their inherent wickedness: God judged them all.

Four invading US Marines, force-fed a DC Comics version of Ripping Yarns, were 'winning hearts and minds' in Haditha, Iraq when a road-side bomb killed one of them. The remaining three spent the next five hours massacring 24 unarmed innocent civilians in revenge.

Women and children were restrained, then shot at point-blank range in their homes. The inevitable cover-up of this war crime was exposed by footage taken by an eyewitness. Much like the casual torture in Abu Ghraib prison came to light through digital snapshots.

The loyal and subservient media, unable to deny the obvious, are attempting to portray this as an aberration by battle-stressed marines. But it's too late, troops are telling the awful truth of what is really happening in Iraq. Such as the siege of Fallujah, a massacre worse than Srebrenica.

No wonder over a 1000 British servicemen have deserted and refused to serve in Iraq, because they have seen first-hand the routine atrocities being committed by The Empire.

Unlike the war criminals leading them, they have come to their senses, and are no longer seduced by Ripping Yarns.

Excellent question!

Get the Power Baptism, every Christian needs it, and tongues are the first evidence.

If you are waiting for the Holy Spirit to compel you to do anything you will wait forever because He won't. Compulsion is the Devil's work, not God's. 2 Co. 5:14 NIV says, 'Christ's love compels us...' The KJV renders it better as, constrains, as in obliges us, rather than forcing us. Fornicators, junkies, drunks, gamblers, smokers, and perverts, are compelled to sin; but the saints are led into righteousness.

Following is our part.

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is received by faith, you ask for it believing, receive it by faith, and the first Scriptural evidence is that you will speak in tongues.

But understand this, the speaking is your part, what you say will be given by God's Spirit. You control your tongue, not God. (1 Co. 14:32) You speak, He gives the words. It works by faith, and faith is an action.

Sometimes people encourage you to just speak whatever comes to help get you over this hurdle. Much like when you help an invalid to their feet, and command them to 'run in Jesus Name!' and give them a shove

In my case, about a week after I was saved I passed through a town, and attended a Spirit-filled AoG (Elim) service there. During the worship one of the leaders came and asked if I was filled with the Spirit. I said yes, and was challenged to prove it by speaking in tongues. I felt very uneasy, so I resisted the peer pressure by answering,

"Wait, let me ask Jesus about it."

And I prayed right there,

"Lord, I'm not sure about all this, but I love you, I trust you, you saved me, so if you want me to speak in tongues, give it to me now."

Instantly, He did so, I began to speak in tongues, and have done so ever since.

Power Evangelism Tip

The Word In Season and Out

Preach the Word: Be prepared in season and out of season...
2 Tim. 4:2a

The Holy Spirit was commanding Timothy to proclaim God's Word to believers, saints need to be nourished with milk constantly.

But what about proclaiming the Gospel to sinners? The same applies, there's no closed season on sinners until Christ returns. It will be too late then, so get after those beauties with God's Word while you can. You'll find no sinners in Heaven, nobody to save, it's only down here we can lead the lost to Jesus.

"But Colin, people get tired of hearing me tell them the Gospel. They call me names!"

Your Lord said they would, so rejoice, forgive them, and don't stop.

A couple of thoughts to help deal with your most vociferous critics:

Turn up the love, and add just a sprinkle of salt.

The woman who led me to Christ didn't shoot Scriptures at me. I would have scorned them, and she knew it. I mocked her just for going to a prayer meeting.

Her response was to zapp me with an act of love. Although Christine was crippled, barely able to walk even with crutches, she asked to wash my socks.

Now that did me. I tell you, that blasted down my defences. I just couldn't shake Him off after that.

Within weeks I fell at His feet.

She was prepared in season with the Word, and the power of Love.
