God Shakes China

While the world focuses on Greece during the Athens Olympics, and glorifies human sporting prowess, we feature China, host of the 2008 Olympics, where God is busy working out His vision for the planet's most populous nation: to glorify Christ.

Following millennia of demon worship, came the satanic Cultural Revolution's crackdown on Christians, led by Mao's notorious Gang of Four.

Rachel asks, I felt as though God had told me I would marry this man. We dated, then things went wrong, and now we are not interested in each other. What can I do?

Answer:There are two very serious problems here, and I pray the answer will help not only you, but also everyone who reads this.

First. Listening to and following God:

Christians do not follow the Lord based upon feelings. Feelings may come from the Lord, or from the flesh. We follow Christ based upon His Word, both written in the Holy Bible, and spoken to our hearts by the Holy Spirit. They always agree, and always point you to the LORD Jesus Christ. When you follow Him, you will glorify Him.

Jesus taught that His sheep know His Voice, and follow Him (Jn. 10:3-4).
You don't feel His Voice, you hear His Voice.

Do you know His Voice in your heart? If not, get saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, walk in the Light, and begin to recognize Christ's leading. It's a wonderful experience that requires; sincere devotion, willing obedience, and genuine integrity. There are materials here that deal with this in detail.

If you rely on feelings, or 'impressions' you'll soon end up in the ditch of despair. Look how Satan is fooling many 'Charismatic' fellowships into idolatry and demon worship through this snare. Let's operate all the Biblical Gifts of the Spirit, but based upon God's Word, and His leading, not the word of false teachers and demonic traps.

You will have feelings, such as compassion, when you follow Christ, but they accompany the leading of the Spirit of God, who is your Teacher. It is Him you should follow, not the feelings. Sinners have compassion, but they don't have the Spirit of God. Do you see the difference?

Second: Understand what love is; and why you are no longer interested in one another.

With respect, the relationship you shared with this man was not based upon God's love. We know, because love never fails. Love has nothing to do with feelings, love is the commitment of yourself to a person, demonstrated perfectly in Christ committing Himself to everyone who repents and believes in Him. Love gave His Life for His enemies.

What should you do?


• Make sure you are genuinely saved, and then get filled with the Holy Spirit.

• Learn to follow Christ based upon His Word, and His Spirit, not feelings or circumstances, or anything else. If He wants you to marry someone, He will make it perfectly clear, who, and when. He knows better than you.

• Forget about 'dating': that's for sinners. The saints have their eyes fixed on The Bridegroom, who is waiting for His Bride. So be busy with the number one task He's given every believer.

Christ in You : His Hope of Glory

It is the heart of the Gospel; Christ so redeems a sinner, that God can come and live in their heart by faith, fulfilling His vision of Christ in you: the hope of glory. Col. 1:27

But before you go home to Heaven's glory, you have a vital mission. Christ came to live in the believer so that He can continue His ministry on earth. You become His hands, His feet, and you are commanded to do what He did in His ministry. Heal the sick, cast out devils, and proclaim the Good News of His Victory over sin, sickness, and all the devil's works.

Jesus said, Anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing.
Jn. 14:12

As a born again believer, you have faith in Him, so you can do what He did.

Christ in you; is yearning to perform the same miracles today, so that He can bring glory to God, through you. Christ in you: His hope of glory!

It all works by loving faith in action. As you listen to Him, and obey His leading, your faith will grow and He can use you more.

Start simply: let Him tell somebody the way to be saved, through your voice, using the gift He's given you to build rapport, and trust with your friends.

Enjoy the thrill of allowing Jesus to look through your eyes into the eyes of the hurting, the lonely, the frightened, and the abandoned. Try it, and you'll see the difference, and be amazed at the results.

When He wants you to put your arm around someone in despair, hug them, and speak His words of comfort. Don't shy away, trust Him to work the miracle, and He will.

You've let the bruised and limping lean on your shoulder, but now let them lean on His. Remember you are His Body, and His hope of glory on earth until He comes.

Real Christianity: Christ in you. Living in, and loving through, you and me.
