Halloween's Satanic Roots Exposed
A Christian Perspective on Halloween

West Coast 'witches' and pretend Pagans attempt to convince you that Halloween is innocent fun, and even claim it has a Christian origin. 'What harm is there in dressing up as witches and enjoying a party?' they ask.
The truth is that it has nothing to do with Christianity, but is based on Baal worship, sacrifices to demons, and ritualistic cannibalism.
Like all occult practices, the harm it causes is not initially apparent, but is nonetheless real, present, and very serious. Here you will find out about the satanic roots of Halloween, so that if you get involved, it is for one reason alone: to destroy the devil's work in Jesus' Name.
Halloween is an annual occult celebration popular in western 'civilization', and has its parallel in Chinese superstitions such as the festival of the Hungry Ghosts, along with equally 'charming' Indian Hindu, Japanese Shinto, and African animistic equivalents.

Trick or Treat
The highlight of its traditional western form occurs on October 31st, when children venture after dusk to 'trick or treat'. Dressed as witches, ghouls, and demons, they beg a treat such as toffee or cake from their neighbours. Those who refuse are 'tricked' or 'cursed', and most play along in good humour so as not to disappoint the kiddies. Candle lanterns are made from hollowed pumpkins or turnips, and placed outside the home 'to frighten away evil spirits'.
Adults gather at fancy dress parties, wearing various demonic costumes, using it as another excuse to indulge the sinful nature. Dedicated Satanists and witches hold reverential rites, and offer blood sacrifices to demons in secret, and even publicly. However, for the majority it is regarded as a light-hearted fun time, without serious overtones. You will even find nominal 'Christians' approving of it, though not genuine believers of course.
It is also a huge marketing opportunity for commercial enterprises.
Where did Halloween originate, is it really harmless, and what do Christians think of it?
How Did Halloween Begin?
Halloween has its origins in Baal worship of the Babylonian Empire. After the Fall, mankind turned to worshipping creation instead of Almighty God the Creator. Assyrians developed a complex system of sun worship, which spread throughout the world from Babylon. The Celts of Gaul (France), Britain, and Ireland developed their own brand, calling their sun god, Samahain, who was appeased with human sacrifices at ceremonies conducted by their priests, the Druids.
Love to Have You for Dinner Sometime
Like most priests who offer blood sacrifices, they were allowed to eat the flesh of the sacrifice, in this case human flesh. The word cannibal derives from Druid priests or Canah, who offered and ate sacrifices to Baal (Satan).
So prevalent was this practice, that when Britain was conquered by the Roman Empire in AD 52-3, Caesar had to issue a decree banning human sacrifice by the subjugated Druids. But habits die hard, and they simply continued their demonic rituals in secret down the centuries.
That Old Black Magic
A significant aspect of the Pagan Druid religion was witchcraft; the invocation of spirits, placing curses, conjuring up the dead, sorcery, magic, and murder by demonic powers. Each specifically, and repeatedly, forbidden by Almighty God. Their traditions were relayed by word of mouth, but accounts exist from the Irish, and Scottish Celtic literature, as well as lurid Roman descriptions of their satanic powers.
The Godfather Takes Over
Following the collapse of the Roman Empire, Catholic Rome coalesced the Druid New Year festival, held on October 31st. and November 1st. into the approved roster of Catholic 'Christian' holidays. The Pope, conceding that animal sacrifices may be offered, in a futile attempt to legitimise the demonic religion.

The Druid festival was centred on human sacrifice, usually firstborn babes, at places like the stone circle of Stonehenge, Pendle Hill in Lancashire, and Alderley Edge in Cheshire in the UK, and many other locations in Wales, Scotland, and Ireland.
Druids believed that on this night the spirits of dead sinners were released by Samahain from their place of torment and roamed the earth. To ward them off they put food offerings outside their homes, and made frightening lanterns to spook the spooks.
So children out trick or treating represent the evil spirits demanding a sacrifice of food under threat of being cursed. Making pumpkin lamps to defend yourself against demon spirits is literally witchcraft.
Catholics, recognized the similarity with the superstition of purgatory, and had no compunction adapting this to become, All Hallows Day, or All Saints Day, which was soon incorporated, by Pope Gregory IV, into the official list of Roman Catholic festivals. The word Halloween is a conjunction of All Hallows Eve.
This should not surprise us, since Roman Catholicism is not Christian; it too is derived from Babylonian Baal worship disguised by a thin pseudo-Christian veneer. The Roman Catholic Mass is a replica of the Babylonian practice of sun god worship. No wonder God hates the idolatrous Mass.
Catholicism propagated by adapting, using bribery and brutal force, local variations of Baal worship to roughly conform to the 'approved' standard of Rome. In essence it is a kind of satanic franchising operation. The Jesuits make an offer hard to refuse, very hard to refuse. The Mafia and the Vatican have more than their false religion in common.
Druid Yuppies
The Druid Pagan tradition continues to this day, with its secret rites, even enjoying resurgence in post-Christian England. The old Druid haunts are still in use for sun worship, and nocturnal demonic revelry.
Working as a vet in the South West of England, a traditional Celtic stronghold, I was amazed to discover a veterinary colleague who claimed to be an adherent of Paganism. Perhaps he was being cultivated to supply animal sacrifices, I didn't ask. UK police have many recent ritual murders on record, and very few cases are solved. Incidences of ritual cannibalism are being increasingly reported in; Europe, Canada, America, and Australia.
What is the Christian View of Halloween?
It is plain from its roots that Halloween has nothing to do with Christianity, but is simply Satan worship, derived from Babylonian practices.
Christians should only ever get involved for one reason: to denounce, expose, and destroy it by proclaiming Christ's Victory over all the works of the Devil, and trampling on satanic snakes and demonic scorpions in Jesus' Name.
God Detests Pagan Practices
The Spirit of God tells us:
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. Holy Bible Eph. 5:11-12 KJV
Witchcraft is among the detestable practices specifically forbidden by the LORD Almighty in the Old Testament
There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. De. 18:10-11 Holy Bible, KJV
The 1984 NIV uses more modern terms for this comprehensive list of occult sins;
Let no-one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist, or who consults the dead. De. 18:10-11 Holy Bible NIV 1984
What does God say about those who do these things? The next verses make this clear:
For all who do these things are an abomination unto the LORD; and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.
Those who indulge in the occult are detestable, an abomination, to the LORD.
If that was all God had said of the occult, it would be enough for any sane person, but He gives repeated warnings throughout the Bible, under both Old and New Covenants, so that everyone has no excuse.
Witchcraft & Sorcery are Sinful
The Holy Spirit includes witchcraft (pharmakios or sorcery in the Greek) as one of the blatant acts of the sinful nature together with idolatry, sexual immorality, drunkenness, orgies and the like; listen carefully to God;
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Gal. 5:19-21 KJV
Nothing fuzzy about that is there? I love it, you know where you are with God. Men will mess you about, but God tells you the truth; straight out.
Banned from Heaven
Those who dare to indulge in the occult will not get to Heaven.
Jesus Himself said so through His angel to John in the final two chapters of the Bible; Remember, this is the LORD Jesus Christ speaking,
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake of fire which burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death. Rev. 21:8 KJV
He continues describing those who are outside (without), excluded from Heaven;
For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. Rev. 22:15 KJV
Christ lists those who practise sorcery amongst the damned, along with murderers, and the sexually immoral. Hell is real, it's final, listen to a man who visited Hell.
You can see it is a serious matter to God, can't you?
'It's Only Pretend'
'Oh I'm not serious about it, I just pretend, for fun.'
You may not be serious, but Satan is. You are being deceived and sucked down a slippery slope. I know people who pretended they were demonised or possessed, for fun. Pretended to be hypnotised, as a lark. You guessed, they became demonised and possessed for real, their lives in ruins, marriages shattered, children abandoned, minds destroyed. Many suicides are a direct result of this kind of 'innocent playful' beginning.
Wizards Wasted: Mediums Maxed-Out
What about mediums, wizards, spiritists, astrologers and fortunetellers?
Under the Old Covenant God commands:
A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood will be upon them. neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times. Lev. 20:27; 19:26b KJV
And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people. Lev. 20:6 KJV
Why? Because they lead souls away from God, away from the truth, to destruction. They incite people to sin in all sorts of ways. They are unholy, and God calls His people to be holy.
Get the Matches Ready
There are many more warnings against occult involvement in God's Word.
But the Scriptures you've just read should be more than sufficient to cause any sincere believer to get rid of all the occult things in their homes and lives. And tell their children why they will not allow them to 'Trick or Treat'.
Ignore these warnings and you will lose your children to Satan. Instead, set an example of sincere love for Christ, walk in the Holy Spirit, and they will see Christ in you and want what you've got.
And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds. Many of them also which used curious arts (witchcraft and sorcery) brought their books together, and burned them before all men. ... So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed. Acts 19:19-20 KJV
