Who is to Blame?

Colin Melbourne © 01-08 Born-Again-Christian.Info

The world is in a mess, and it's getting worse. Why, and whose fault is it?

A junkie steps in the path of a of an oncoming bus in LA. A baby starves to death in Ethiopia. Three hundred thousand lost in the Asian Tsunami earthquake. Millions die annually from malaria, aids, and TB. Eight million lost in the Great War. Fifty two million slaughtered in the Second World War.

Destruction, disease, and disaster have dogged human existence since the world began.

Man is born to trouble as surely as sparks fly upward. Holy Bible Job 5:7 NIV

Who's to blame?

Insurance companies classify tornados and earthquakes as 'acts of God'. Are they?

Doctors say disease epidemics are caused by micro-organisms, poor hygiene, and poverty. Is that the whole story?

Historians tell us wars are due to tyrants, politics, religion and greed. But where do they come from?

What is wrong with the world, and whose fault is it? More importantly, what can we do about it, is there a solution?

Philosophers, religious pundits, and visionaries have mulled over these questions for centuries, but all their answers fall short, and have got us nowhere.

It is time to wake up. The driver is asleep at the wheel, heading for oblivion.

There's a saying, 'When all else fails, read the Instructions.' The Holy Bible is the Creator's Manual, and has ALL the answers to mankind's problems.

God's doesn't tell us to trust in religion, instead He points us to His Only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. And declares that salvation is only available through faith in Him.

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

Now listen, don't you stop reading. By the time you have finished this, God will open your eyes to the Truth.

Does the Holy Bible tell us who is to blame for the evil in the world? Yes, loud and clear.

You're Wanted

A man in a purple rage was on his way to kill someone who'd wronged him...
Wanted: Dead or Alive

It says God made mankind in His image, righteous, and with a free will. But the first couple used their choice to disobey God's one and only rule. God had warned them not to eat from a certain tree or they would surely die. (See Genesis Ch.3) They doubted God's Word, believed Satan's lies, ate the fruit, and sin entered the human race. The rot set in.

Adam and Eve passed their sinful natures onto us all. Look;
Through the disobedience of the one man (Adam) many were made sinners. Rom. 5:19

Sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned. Rom.5:12

Thanks Adam and Eve.

Who's to blame for the world's troubles? Adam, Eve, me, and you. Mankind is to blame.

There were no famines in Eden, no deaths, no wars, no disease, or infirmity of any kind. Those terrible calamities came after we broke trust with God, and believed Satan's lies.

So please don't blame God for the world's ills; they're not even Satan's fault. The Holy Bible cites Adam and the rest of us.

Who's to blame? Look in the mirror

But the good news is that God didn't quit on His creation. He didn't leave us helpless and hopeless in sin, death, and decay. And God won't quit on you whatever mess you are in. That is why He's drawn you to read this, to point you to the only way out.

God became a man, Jesus Christ, fully God, fully human, and lived the perfect life we were designed to live. He kept God's Law flawlessly, faced every temptation possible, and never sinned once. Every word He uttered is truth, absolute truth. He forgave repentant sinners, restored dignity to adulterers, swindlers, and prostitutes, opened blind eyes, and healed all manner of sickness and infirmity. He didn't simply teach folks God's Word, He showed them the Living Word in action.

The religious crowd hated Him, but repentant sinners loved Him. That reaction has not changed. Finally, when the time had come, Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit sealed a contract with mankind. In essence, it goes like this;

You'll allow me to use imagination to get the idea over won't you? It's not sacrilegious.

Father says, 'They've all sinned Son, there's not one righteous, they're all wicked to the core.'

Jesus replies, 'Yes Father, and we said, 'The soul that sins must die.' They each have to die for their own sins.'

The Holy Spirit adds, 'But if an innocent person was to take their place, bear their guilt, their judgment, their sin... all of it. Then we can acquit everyone who trusts in the substitute.'

Father says, 'There's a problem. No-one on earth is innocent, they've all sinned and fallen short, so who can take their place?'

Jesus answered, 'I will, I'll go and take their place. Blame me.'

The greatest plan ever devised was put into action. God's love-plan.

This was a contract written, signed, and sealed with the innocent Blood of God's Son.

Angels gasped in awe as the only righteous man who ever walked on earth lay down upon a splintered cross, stretched out His arms, 'and said',

'Pour it on me Father, all their sin, all their pain, and all the penalty they deserve. Blame me Father, and let those who trust in me go free!'

The Bible tells us, For Christ died for sins, once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. 1 Pe.3:18, 2:24

Jesus foretold His Sacrifice,

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. Jn.3:16 and 18

After He paid your sin debt, bore your punishment, took your infirmities and diseases, the Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day. He showed Himself to His followers, then told them to go and tell this message throughout the world until He returns.

The deal is, whoever is willing to repent and believe this wonderful news, and follow Jesus, is acquitted of all guilt, receives eternal life, perfect righteousness, and becomes God's child, at peace forever.

What love. What mercy. What a message to tell a sin-sick world.

Your value to God

Undestand how much He wants you, and has already paid to have you back...

Now that you have heard, and understood what Jesus has done for you. Will you receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour now?

Will you repent of rebellion, and trust in Him?

Will you accept that He is God in the Flesh, and has paid your debt in full?

Will you pray this prayer whole-heartedly?

If you won't, and you choose to continue to reject God's mercy, be Judged for your sins, and perish in Hell, I have one final question to ask you;

'Who is to blame?'

Please don't blame God for the world's ills; they're not even Satan's fault
